Location
Galway (Irish: Gaillimh) is the only city in the province of Connacht, in the Republic of Ireland. The city is located on the west coast of Ireland, and Glenlo Abbey is situated just 2 miles/4kms from Galway City Centre on the N59 to Clifden.

Travelling by Road
Coming into Galway from either the north, east or south, you will encounter a series of roundabouts. The N59 to Clifden is sign posted at most of these roundabouts once you approach the City, keep veering towards the N59 to Clifden. If you are coming in from the west you automatically arrive at Glenlo Abbey if you are on the N59. If coming from Spiddal R336 direction, continue towards Salthill however keeping an eye out for the N59.
